Hey Robert, give us an update if you can.
I'm sick at home. After eliminating usual causes, including heart,
lungs, and cancer, doctors have been unable to diagnose the cause. I
believe it's a kidney problem other than glomerular filtration.
Symptoms are high blood urea and low red blood cell count, which I
believe is caused by an erythropoiesis defect. Two nephrologists and a
urologist have been unhelpful. One hematologist hypothesizes leukemia,
which I believe would be going down the wrong road.

Unexpectedly, none of the doctors blamed smoking nor insisted on
cessation more strenuously than background antismoking.

Hang in there and let us know how you're getting on, ok?
Smoking discussion cancelled until you're feeling better.
After that we can carry on demolishing your pro-smoking arguments as
normal. ;-) ;-) ;-)
